Ramon G. Reyes, MD

Dr. Ramon Reyes is a seasoned Family Practice Physician with over 30 years of experience. From 2000 to 2022, he owned and operated Bandera Family Medical Group, which had three locations throughout San Antonio. From 2022 to 2025, he served as the Medical Director for one of the largest medical groups in San Antonio. Dr. Reyes is now relocating to Boerne, Texas, where he will open his primary care practice in August 2025 and begin accepting new patients.

Dr. Reyes is a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Practice and has been recognized as San Antonio’s Best Family Practice Physician. Dr. Reyes has participated in national clinical trials as Principal Investigator for BFHC Research since 2012. A committed educator, he was a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University Health Science Center for 18 years and continues to mentor medical residents and students. Dr. Reyes is also a retired U.S. Army Lt. Colonel, is fluent in English and Spanish, and is known for his commitment to an integrative medicine approach for all family members in the community.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Reyes enjoys traveling with his wife, Mildred, sailing, scuba diving, caring for his horses, and attending live music events. He also serves on the board of directors for the San Antonio Council on Alcohol and Drug Awareness.
